  I live close to this location and took my family there to check it out. After a few minutes waiting we got our table. But our waitress didn't even come to our table until after 15 minutes and we didn't get our water until after 30 minutes and over 45 minutes to get our food!!! I asked the lady who seemed to be the manager what was going on and she simply said the waitress was busy and when I asked our waitress she said she didn't now it was her table. No apologies until we paid the bill and that didn't even sound sincere. There was a couple who came in about 20 minutes after us who got their drinks before us and food around the same time. There was another table who seemed to be the managers friends who also came in after us but got everything way sooner. I would also rate the food below average. Considering they are brand new this was horrible service. We will NOT be going back.

  Excellent food. A little small on the portion size, but prices are fair and a nice atmosphere. The fish & chips were excellent!!

  Brought our daughter here for lunch today. Restaurant was quite busy, but we were able to get a table very quickly (less than 5 min wait). Our server was courteous and friendly, the food was delicious, and overall the experience was excellent. This wasn't our first experience at this location, and I know it won't be our last!

  Elephant and castle is a cute British style restaurant with an overall theme of Britain. Example is an item on their menu called bangers and chips which is sausages and french fries. When I went I had the recommended Yorkshire pudding and it was a smaller than expected size with only one Yorkie. But the taste was excellent and the sides were suited for the meal. Overall it is a fair priced place with plenty of beers on tap. Waitresses are friendly and eager to help. I recommend stopping in for a nice meal and cold beer!

  Enjoyed dinner for our first visit to the Elephant & Castle.
  
  Pros - Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Meal was excellent! Highly recommend the deep fried dill pickle appetizer (large portion is plenty for two).
  Cons - Can be quite noisy, but then again it is styled after a British Pub.
  Prepare for some confusion if visiting the washrooms. There is ONE entrance into a small lobby with ATM and five private full washrooms with doors marked "M W". I was fortunate that all were open, so after failing to see any urinals (lol) took my chances on the center door. I'm sure this will initially alarm many when confronted by doors not clearly marked men or women.
  
  Overall, due to the staff we met, we'll mark this place "highly recommended" and will return.
