  Tried Al's for the first time today and needless to say I am impressed. The older booths in that old school teal color really drive home that diner vibe. The server was fast and efficient and she was extremely good at reading not just my body language but the body language of the other patrons as well the food is delicious. My shredded hashbrowns weren't a pile of stuck togetherness that you normally get at place like Denny's they were thicker than normal and it clearly made for better cooking. I ordered the eggs Benedict so my order took a little longer because Al properly poaches the egg to our perfection but when I got my food and bit into it it was like my tastebuds exploded, the only thing I would suggest is maybe less sauce as I felt like there was just a bit to much. Overall I am pleased with the service and the food and will definitely be coming back.

  Fantastic little place. The food is second to none, the atmosphere reminds me of the community diners that were prevalent when I was a child, and the staff are friendly & attentive. Try their Jethro Burger if you are really hungry, it's the only major meal that you are going to need for the day. I will definitely go back & will recommend it to others!

  I'm giving AL'S a weak 4 . This is the second time I've visited & I found it a bit expensive. Just over $ 17.00 for a bacon/cheeseburger , fries , pop & a side gravy. The fries were great but the burger didn't seem as good as the first time. By the time I was all said & done with tip, I left a $20.00. Really, food-wise it's your call if you want to go here.

  This is a regular stop for me whenever I pass through Red Deer. The breakfast is amazing, and my favorite for lunch is the bacon cheeseburger. Thick cut bacon and really juicy beef patties. The 50s diner theme is fantastic, and the service staff is always friendly. Love love love this place!
